Indonesia

Wow! What a journey these last three weeks through Indonesia have been. Love to all the awesome people that i have met along the way, I hope that I will run into you all somewhere along the road again! It has been truly refreshing to experience so many different cultures, religions, foods, values and ways of living. Although originally planned to be a surf trip and we did surf some perfect waves in breathtaking locations it was soo much more than that!

First Surf at Gerupuk, Lombok

Most of the time it it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere with names that I couldn't even pronounce and I think this is what excited me the most...not knowing where you might be from one day to the next!

Banana Homestays, Lombok What an awesome place, such good vibes and so many cool people!
Surfing Outsides Lefts Gerupuk. Fun surf...with such clear water i could see parrotfish feeding off the reef below me whilst I sat on my surfboard waiting for a wave.

YoYos Beach, Sumbawa

Surfers Bar, Gili Trawangan

The not so fun taxi rides but not much could take the smiles off our faces!

Lombok beers and sunsets after a long days adventures
Saying thanks before eating
Ryan took out best burn for the trip. Nothing a bit of aloe vera cant fix though :p

We all encountered sickness but this never had us down for more than a day...Malaria jokes were pretty funny when you weren't thew one sick haha

After looking at a map of where we had travelled over the last three weeks I realised we had only hit the tip of the iceberg called the Indonesia and how this would become the first of many more adventures. I think I have learnt more about myself in the last three weeks than I have in the last three years and I can definitely say for me this trip was life changing. This trip has inspired me to travel and although I don't know where I want to go or how im going to get there, I do know that on the way to wherever my destination is I am going to do what makes me smile whether it be surfing, exploring, diving or just meeting new people!

Summer Diving Northland

Summertime is the best time of the year up North! We are always very lucky to enjoy warm clear blue water throughout the summer with good visibility and there's always plenty of fish around. It is never a boring dive even if you don't spear a fish as there is so much to see! I think New Zealand is very beautiful above water but below I think it is even more amazing under! My passion for free diving and spearfishing has taken me to some awesome locations around the North Island and I always cannot wait for summer to tick around!
