North Island Field Tour

The day before flying up to Auckland for a field trip down in Waikato with my farm management class Jo, Tom and me checked the coming weeks forecast which showed an awesome window of sunshine and a perfect swell which was going to hit Northlands West Coast! So we pulled the plug on the field trip and decided to chase this swell up the coast of the North Island to a place called Te Werahi Bay an exposed, isolated and uncrowded location west of Cape Reinga! With our Cell phones turned off and a full tanks gas we left Auckland for a mission to the Far North to a place we had never been before with limited money and food. It was a total mission just to get there...But the best ones usually are!

The first stop before leaving Auckland was Ultimate surf shop for some advice and then a quick shred a Albany Bowl!
